workshop — Ikebana vessel, Sunday 07.04
The art of Ikebana making as an intentional way of being in simplicity
A study in natural imperfections, textures and techniques forming clay into ceramics
In this clay gathering, we will connect with our intuitive voice to explore the art of creating an Ikebana vessel. Not only will you learn how to make a vessel yourself, you will also be introduced in the delicate Japanese floral arrangement technique that emphasizes simplicity and harmony. A practice in gathering seasonal natural materials to enjoy a nourishing ritual and find beauty in your surroundings.
We'll provide various techniques to work with clay and offer plenty of inspiration on how to embrace imperfections as a treasure for natural beauty. You will be able to choose from various types of clay to explore endless possibilities with different techniques and shapes.
Ikebana is more than just arranging flowers; it is considered a form of artistic expression and a way to connect with the essence of nature.
This creative practice serves as a true self-care moment to ground yourself, inviting you to delve into a deep well of inner knowing, connecting with creativity, intuition, natural elements and senses beyond the surface.
During this workshop, just a couple days after the Spring Equinox, we will invite the playful Maiden energy to create out of curiosity and pure joy, ready to let go of any expectations and be fully herself.
