Glaze your pieces (after you follow a making workshop)

An exploration of applying and playing around with natural glazes

During this intimate gathering you'll delve into the art of natural glazing. With my guidance, you'll learn how to apply glazes to your handcrafted ceramics, transforming them into vibrant, natural and beautifully finished pieces.

You will play, discover the magic of applying your own glaze and surrender to the magic of a glaze firing, you will feel the excitement of receiving our pieces even more. I can truly not describe the feeling it brings of opening the kiln after a glaze firing, it's such an amazing gift. The glazes where we will work with will be made by me in advance. In this workshop you will discover different techniques of applying glaze and how to apply imperfections and textures with natural elements. There will be a choice to discover ash glazes in practice.

If you are curious on how to make your own natural glazes, In early 2024 I will be offering a glaze course on how to make your own natural glazes and the basics of this magical world. A course that will give you confidence in playing and experimenting with making glazes. 
This practical workshop for applying glazes can already give you a lot of insights that, together with the course in January, will strengthen your knowledge in working with glazes.

This workshop is only for people who have made pieces in a previous workshop offered by me. If you are interested in participating without attending to a making workshop, please contact me in that case.

I will guide you through some techniques to get you started and offer help when needed. 
You do not need any experience to participate in these workshops. For those who already have some or a lot of experience, these workshops can be a nice addition to your practice to work from your intuition and in contact with natural elements, as well as to learn how to bring imperfections into your work.

You can request an invoice for this workshop after purchase via info@spiickaceramics.com, additional 21% VAT will be added for professionals. 

Payment in installments (2x) is possible, you can always email for this or other questions.

In case of real bad weather, the workshop cannot take place, the workshop can then be moved or you can opt for a gift voucher.

If you are unable to attend, you can cancel the workshop up to one month before the course. An administration fee of €35 will be charged for this.

If you cancel less than a month before the course, the workshop will not be refunded unless you find a replacement yourself or someone on the waiting list can take your place. If this asks any intervention from the host, an administration fee of €35 will be charged for this.
